HPHT filtration testing determines if fluid is properly conditioned to drill through
permeable formations. Test results include two numbers: the dynamic filtration rate and
the cake deposition index (CDI). The dynamic filtration rate is calculated from the slope of
the curve of volume versus time. The CDI is calculated from the slope of the curve of
volume/time versus time.
